Deadline for Porcupine Grant Scheme extended until 30th April 2008!
Porcupine Marine Natural History Society Small Grant Scheme
The Porcupine Marine Natural History Society is pleased to announce an opportunity to apply for funding for small research projects. A total fund of £3000 is available for small projects of one to three months duration.
Applications will be considered for projects varying from basic sorting and identification, to specialist identification of a particular taxon of interest. Projects can be field based or pursued in a laboratory or museum; however the samples should fall within the geographical limits and remits of the PMNHS.
The purpose of this work would be to make samples or information more accessible to the wider community and therefore a written summary (e.g. a report for the newsletter and website) of any work undertaken will be expected. The fund can be used for research costs only and applicants are expected to fund their own living costs.
The deadline for applications has now been extended until the 30th April 2008 to encourage a second round of applications.
Further information and full details of the application process can be seen here
